Change in the security level of the authentication password of SE Suite users

Improvements related to the security in the cryptography of the authentication passwords of the system users have been implemented.

 

For these improvements to be applied, after updating the system to version 2.0.4, some actions will be required by the system:

▪The system will prompt users with SE Suite authentication to change their passwords in the first access after system update, i.e., users whose access is performed by integration authentication will be required to change their passwords.

▪It will be necessary to redefine the system users' passwords used to access the SE Suite web services.

 

Support to multiple federation services for authentication

The support to configure several federation services for the authentication of users in SE Suite has been implemented. During login, it will be required to enter the federation service that will be used to authenticate the user; if one is not entered, the system will display a screen for the user to enter which service should be used for user authentication.

 

Email view in the configuration of Task Notifications

Now it is easier to configure Task Notification emails. See, during configuration, how the task notification emails to be sent to users and leaders will look like. The emails that the system will allow to view during configuration are: 'My tasks' and 'Subordinate tasks'.

'My Tasks' emails aim to provide users with a summary of their pending tasks in the suite. This is already a well-known resource in the suite; however, an improvement has been made for users to have access to more details of their tasks.

 

Now users will receive their tasks that are past due, close to due date, or due that day with more details. That will assist them to better plan the execution of their tasks.

 

For this functionality to be enabled, additional configurations are required in "SE Configuration Configuration Notification (CM022)", in the 'Task notifications' section.

'Subordinate Tasks' emails aim to provide leaders with a summary of the status of the pending tasks assigned to their subordinates. This is already a well-known resource in the suite; however, and improvement has been made to provide leaders with access to more details of their subordinates' tasks.

 

For each subordinate, it is possible to view the tasks that are past due, close to due date or due that day in details. With that, leaders have more information to support their decision making.

 

For this functionality to be enabled, additional configurations are required in "SE Configuration Configuration Notification (CM022)", in the 'Task notifications' section.

 

System Monitoring Configuration

The 'System Monitoring' service aims to alert by email about possible problems that may impact the working of the suite. This is already a well-known resource in the suite; however, it is now possible to appoint other emails to receive the notification. It is also possible to disable email notifications.

 

These configurations can be performed in "SE Configuration Configuration Notification (CM022)", in the 'System monitoring' section.
