Configuring the column formats for CMM machine files

In this release, it is possible to configure the TXT files from coordinate measuring machines (CMM) in column format. The current configuration only allowed the file mapping with character-to-character separation. Now, it is possible to select the column format by expanding the mapping possibilities, given the natural TXT file format variations provided by the CMM machine.

 

 

Anticipation of task for SPC collections

In this release, it is possible to configure the task anticipation (in days) for the SPC collection tasks. This configuration must be performed on the General parameters screen. It allows collection tasks to only be displayed in the My tasks menu when the time to perform the task is within the configured. For this feature to work, in addition to setting the days of anticipation in the general parameters, the characteristics of the collection in question must be configured with some kind of frequency.

 

 

Allowing the SPC reading type constant to be informed at the time of collection

In some cases, the constant that is part of the equation of the Reading type may change depending on some particular or special factor, such as "environment temperature". In these cases, from this version, it will be possible to enter the "constant" (configured in the item characteristic in the PDM) at the moment of the collection. By choosing to enter the constant at the time of collection, it will not be possible to enter any value in the characteristic configuration in PDM.

 

 

Using equations for the SPC collection

Often, a characteristic that one wishes to collect can be or is the result of an equation formed by other characteristics that are also being collected. So that it is not necessary to carry out a separate calculation to enter the collection, from this version, it will be possible to create equations using as variables the own characteristics that are already being collected.

For example, having an item (product), with 3 characteristics to be collected, being: Internal diameter, External diameter and Wall thickness, the Internal diameter can be easily calculated by the equation: (External diameter - (2 x Wall thickness)), making the filling of the Internal diameter feature fill automatically when the other two characteristics are collected. The calculator also provides options such as root and power, in addition to conventional operators.

 

 

Reading files with CSV extension on the CMM configuration screen

In this version, it will be possible to map files with CSV extension used, for example, by Programmable logic controllers (PLC's). The current configuration only allowed the mapping of files with TXT extension. Now, the system allows the reading of this other format, expanding the possibilities of SE SPC integration with other equipment.

 

 

Integration with measuring instruments

Integration with measuring instruments is already available for SE SPC. The configuration must be done in the SE Asset record. By doing this, informing the previously configured instrument of the collection, the automatic collection option will be enabled. For scales, which use a communication protocol, refer to the SPC manual to verify if the scales settings are compatible with the existing integration.
