Verification activities

This section lists the required activities before the SoftExpert Suite update:

1.Refer to the "SoftExpert Suite - Release Notes" and "Patch Bulletin" documents for details about new updates and new SoftExpert Suite features.

2.Verify the update type that will be performed. Refer to the Update overview section for further details on the update types allowed by SoftExpert Suite.

3.Refer to the SoftExpert Suite - System Requirements document and check whether the environment has the recommended versions of third-party software for the SoftExpert Suite version that will be updated.

4.Make sure to perform the update plan and to revise all the items of the checklist to ensure the SoftExpert Suite update succeeds.

5.If the system uses TLS 1.2 for connections with the database, it is important for the Windows operating system to be updated and for the Microsoft Native SQL Client driver to be installed and updated in the system. It is also necessary to have Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 or higher installed.
