Update checklist

This topic provides a checklist of items that should be taken into account for a successful update of SoftExpert Suite. Make sure to verify each one of these items:

 

1.Before the update:

Make sure you have a backup of all the database(s).

Make sure you have a backup of the server in which the application is running.

Verify which SoftExpert Suite version is installed on the server.

Make sure you have all the necessary packages for the update. Read the Update packages preparation topic for further details.

Check if there are users logged in the system. The SE Suite Installer Tool (TOOL-2.2.X-WINDOWS.exe) will disconnect all users during the process.

During the installation process, we recommend disabling your Anti-virus solution.

 

2.First, plan and test the update in a test system. Check whether the update occurred successfully through the execution of the functionality. After this verification, update the system in the production environment.

 

3.It is recommended that the update process is started no later than 30 minutes after the last database backup.
