Update packages preparation

This section covers the steps to obtain and prepare the SoftExpert Suite update package.

1.To obtain the installation packages, access SoftExpert's website: http://www.softexpert.com;

2.Click Customer Center and on the customer center page, click on Click here to access the Portal;

3.Enter your User and Password and click on Login;

4.Access the Distribution Center - SE 2.0 section in the navigation panel. At the top of the distribution center page, click on the "Downloads" menu.

5.Download the UPDATE-2.2.X-WINDOWS.zip update package in the "Release update" section.

For 4th-digit updates, use the package generated after the conclusion of your ticket at Softexpert's Service Desk.

6.After saving the packages, execute the SoftExpert Suite installation according to the procedure described in the following topic.

▪None of the downloaded files should have their names changed, otherwise, the installer will not recognize them.

▪In the procedure to update to version 2.1.7, we recommend updating the Tomcat version to 9. For more information on how to perform this operation, refer to the Tomcat update and Tomcat configuration sections.
