Aiming to increase control over IT assets, several improvements have been implemented for the inventory of IT assets.
▪Notifications to responsible parties: The configuration of the responsible parties that will receive notifications regarding the IT assets was added to the import profile. The available options in which to send notifications are: RAM and processor modification, software installation or uninstallation, in addition to changes in disk capacity (free and total space).
▪New import profiles: Import profiles for JSON and CSV file types have been developed.
▪Import scheduling: Implementation, in the import profile, of the possibility to configure an import scheduling to read the files that must be imported into the system.
▪Import rules: Implementation of the possibility to create import exceptions, thus allowing rules to be created for the system not to import information which is not relevant for the management of the asset.
▪New view menus: Two new system view menus are available regarding IT assets. The first menu is related to view Computers and the second, exclusively to Software. The asset report was adapted to list the computer specifications, in addition to the implementation of a new report for software listing.
▪Compare computer inventories: Implementation of the possibility to compare distinct asset inventories, thus allowing to quickly verify which items have, or not, been changed.
A parameter has been created in the system to control the planning of activities according to the due date of a verification plan. Through this parameter, the user may choose to:
▪keep the current behavior of the system;
▪notify the party responsible for planning the activity that the planning date is later than the plan due date;
▪block the planning of activities whose date is after the plan due date.
Implementation of the possibility for the responsible parties to define the team that will be responsible for executing the activity when planning a verification activity.
In order to allow greater control over the consumption of supplies during a verification activity, the possibility to associate supplies directly with the asset has been implemented. Now, even in activities with multiple assets, it is possible to stratify the exact information of how much each asset is consuming in terms of supplies. The activity cost continues being the total value; however, when performing a supply allocation or asset cost view, it is possible to analyze the exact quantity/cost of supplies consumed by the asset.
